Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard

1st Day: Today we travel to New Jersey for our first night. Dinner is on your own in the area.  Evening is free.

2nd Day: Good morning! Today we will head for Hyannis, MA stopping at Mystic, CT on the way. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel for the next four nights. On our way to dinner, a local guide will join us for a tour of the Cape Cod Area, including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport, and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church. Dinner is included tonight. (CB, D)

3rd Day: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today we will take a ferry to Nantucket. Nantucket is an island 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. Upon arrival, your guide will review with you what is within walking distance of the dock area for the time on your own. You will enjoy an Island bus tour during your visit and have plenty of time to shop and sightsee on your own. Nantucket is filled with museums, historic houses, architectural treasures, and endless beaches. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets and brick sidewalks that line Nantucket’s downtown area. This afternoon we will take the boat ride back to Hyannis. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

4th Day: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today, we will travel along scenic Route 6A, driving through colonial villages filled with wonderful examples of New England architecture. We will view the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod lighthouse, and drive through the Cape Cod National Seashore area. The landscape dramatically changes as you approach “Lands End” - Provincetown. We will be surrounded on all sides by the ocean, sand dunes, and a landscape dotted with small cottages. Provincetown is a unique destination with a rich history that combines a love of the sea and the arts. Walk along the narrow streets filled with restaurants, shops, and galleries! While in Provincetown, we will enjoy a Dune Tour. Ride along the shoreline of the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Our guide will point out “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art. Dinner will be on your own in Provincetown. (B)

5th Day: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today we will take a ferry to the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. Martha’s Vineyard is known for its gingerbread-adorned houses in Oak Bluffs and lovely, old sea captains’ mansions in Edgartown. During your visit, enjoy a Down Island bus tour of the island. You’ll have time for lunch and shopping on your own in quaint Edgartown. This afternoon we will take the ferry back to Hyannis. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)

6th Day: Today we will head to Lancaster, PA. We will be traveling through Connecticut and New York State on our way to Pennsylvania. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel for the night. (B)

7th Day: We will head home, arriving approximately 7:00 PM. (CB)
